Event details: The Grand Vajrakilaya Drupchod is held annually in the seventh lunar month for thirteen consecutive days. This musically rich and beautiful puja begins with the creation of the Vajrakilaya sand mandala, accompanied by associated ritual practices and the Vajrakilaya Cham (sacred dance), followed by the puja, which continues until 14th September. On the penultimate day, 14th September, there will be a Vajrakilaya Drum and Sword Dance, and on the final day, 15th September, the monastery will sweep together the sand mandala and offer Vajrakilaya blessings to the public.
There is no webcast for this event. Gompa member-supporters are invited to register for the event and to send offerings, together with dedications, at any time up until September 15th, 2025.
